How long does the program take to complete?

The Program is 600 hours which is the equivalent of 6 months.

How flexible is the schedule?

We offer morning and afternoon sessions.

Do students receive a degree?

No, our curriculum is an accredited certificate program.

What does "accredited" mean?

Professional Culinary Academy is accredited by COE (Council on Occupational Education). National Accreditation strives to assure quality and integrity in career and technical education.

What does the program cost?

* Students referred from ACCES-VR will be charged according to ACCES-VR payment policy and the agreement between the school and ACCES-VR.

Late fees will not be charged to a student admitted under the GI Bill® due to any delay in payment from the VA for up to 90 days. See Addendum B.

What are the admissions requirements for the school?

The following are the requirements:

  • Applicants must have an admissions interview at the school
  • Tour the facility
  • Demonstrate a desire to pursue the career program of interest
  • Must have an HS or GED diploma or be referred by a state agency such as ACCES VR.

Is the school licensed?

Yes. The School is licensed by BPSS (Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision) and nationally accredited by COE (Council or Occupational Education).

Is there career placement assistance?

Our Director of Externship and Placement assists graduates with job leads and career development tools. Our program also has a Professional Development portion to help prepare our students to enter the workforce, with resume writing, goals setting, interviewing and more. The school does not guarantee employment.

Is there a dress code?

The school provides the students uniforms. Students are expected to wear their uniform every day to class and appear well groomed.

Is there an externship/internship in the program's completion requirement?

Yes, the program at Professional Culinary Academy have an externship component in the curriculum. Commercial Cooking Plus Externship has a 200 hour externship. Externship must be completed in order to graduate from Professional Culinary Academy.
